Murmuration
Updated October 25, 2026
Your message is indistinguishable from the packets every member’s app sends every day. We can’t tell who had something to say. Don’t take our word for it: make two packets here and compare them, then watch your own app send.
Two packets
Type anything. Nothing on this page is sent anywhere: both packets are sealed here, in your browser, the way the app seals them.
Your app, live
Open Terebyte in another tab and leave it there. Each line below is one of its ordinary sync requests, as this browser recorded it: when, how big, and whether a packet rode along. Never whether the packet was real: this page can’t know either.
Nothing yet. Open your files in another tab; requests appear here every half minute or so.
One shape, measured here
What it would cost if every request the app makes, answer included, had one size and one rhythm for every member: worked out here, beside the requests listed above. Nothing on this page is sent.
Leave Terebyte open in another tab for a few minutes, then come back.
The index check now has one size, so whether a packet rides it can’t be told from its length. The full one shape for every request isn’t built: on a phone a request every 30 seconds keeps the radio awake, about 3% of a battery an hour; it returns as the network’s Hidden mode, chosen by the member, price shown.
