Terebyte

Company

Private storage, run by rules you can read.

Terebyte is end-to-end encrypted cloud storage: files, rooms to share them, and doors for people, agents and other rooms, all encrypted on your own devices. It is made and sold by Terebyte Inc., a Delaware corporation.

The rules we live by

  • We can’t read your files. Files, their names and the keys that open them are encrypted on your devices. Our servers hold sealed bytes.
  • No ads. No tracking. No AI training. No ad pixels, no third-party analytics, and nothing of yours teaches any model.
  • We never hold anyone’s money. When members pay each other, the money goes straight to the person being paid. We never hold, divide or forward it.
  • We don’t keep your address. We never store the network address you connect from. To stop abuse we keep only a coded form that can’t be turned back into it, and only for days.
  • We charge for what costs us, never for permission. Prices cover storage and downloads. Every plan has every feature.
  • Nobody costs more than they pay. Each price is checked against what it costs us before it can go live, so no plan depends on another member’s data.
  • A feature does what it says, or it isn’t shown. And we don’t promise dates.

What we’ve been asked for

How many requests for information about our members we’ve had from governments, police and courts, and how many copyright notices, is in the transparency report, which only ever gains entries. How the encryption works is on the security pages.
